Planter box remediation in Sydney
Concrete repairs, substrate rectification and joint sealing for planter boxes affected by water ingress and deterioration.
03 · Remedial worksOverview
Remediation of planter boxes affected by water ingress and deterioration, including concrete repairs, substrate rectification and joint sealing.
A planter box holds wet soil against the structure every day of the year. When the substrate doesn’t fall to the drain, or the interfaces between walls, floor and penetrations deteriorate, water can find its way into car parks, units and walls below — often a long way from the planter itself.
We remediate the planter as a whole: concrete repairs to deteriorated walls and floors, substrate rectification with falls to the drain, and joint sealing at the interfaces most exposed to water ingress — preparing the surfaces for the waterproofing system.

FAQ
Planter boxes: common questions.
Something else? Ask us on WhatsApp — a photo of the problem is the fastest way to a straight answer.
Why do planter boxes leak?
Often because water ponds inside the box — the substrate doesn’t fall to the drain — and because the interfaces between walls, floor and penetrations have deteriorated. An inspection identifies the cause.
Do the plants have to come out?
For remediation of the substrate, yes — the box has to be emptied to rectify the floor and interfaces. We plan the works with your landscaper or building manager.
Do you work on podiums and communal gardens?
Yes. Podium planters and communal gardens in strata buildings are part of our work.
